Getting to Tenerife

Tenerife has two airports that you can fly into: Tenerife North–Ciudad de La Laguna Airport (TFN) and Tenerife South–Reina Sofía Airport (TFS). The most common flight connections will be through Madrid, Spain, or Barcelona, Spain, but Tenerife’s airports are widely connected to many spots around Europe and the U.S.

Our wedding weekend will be hosted in the southern part of the island. Flying into Tenerife South, a mere 20-minutes from the wedding venue and hotel, would be most convenient for our out-of-town guests. Nevertheless, flying into Tenerife North is only an hour car/taxi ride away from the wedding weekend activities and accommodations. We suggest inquiring with your hotel about airport shuttles.

Although available, public transportation can be sporadic and unreliable. We recommend taxis for short distances, as they are widely available and relatively inexpensive. You can now book taxis via the Uber app in Tenerife.
